Tasmanian wicketkeeper-batter Emma Manix-Geeves is set to swap purple for pink after signing with the Sydney Sixers for the upcoming Women's Big Bash League season.
Manix-Geeves joins the Sixers for WBBL|11 after limited opportunities for the Hobart Hurricanes, where she notched just seven appearances since her debut during the 2019/20 season.
Despite a lack of domestic T20 opportunities, the 25-year-old has excelled at Women's National Cricket League (WNCL) level for the Tasmanian Tigers.
The Riverside Cricket Club product was a key part of the Tigers' history-making WNCL three-peat, highlighted by a century in the 2021–22 Final.
Manix-Geeves has also dominated the Cricket Tasmania Premier League (CTPL) while playing for the New Town Bucks and Greater Northern Raiders.
She was named in the CTPL Women's Team of the Year in 2023–24 and is a three-time Kim Fazackerly Medallist, most recently in 2024-25.
Last month the Palawa woman showed strong early season form in Queensland's KFC T20 Max competition.

Representing Valley District Cricket Club, Manix-Geeves finished sixth on the competitions runs table, highlighted by 73 (56) against the Sunshine Coast Scorchers and a gallant 46 (45) in Valley's loss to the Wynnum-Manly Sea Eagles in the competition's semi-final.
She was also a part of the Australian Indigenous Women's Team's tour of Papua New Guinea for the PacificAus Sports Cricket Invitational earlier this year.
Following the announcement, Manix-Geeves said the chance to join the Sixers was one she couldn't wait to embrace.
"I'm really excited about the season and grateful to the Sixers for the opportunity," Manix-Geeves said.
"To have the chance to pull on the pink and be part of such a proud club is something I'm really looking forward to.
"There are so many world-class players in this group and I'm looking forward to learning from them, soaking up the environment and contributing in any way I can."
Manix-Geeves joins incumbent Australian 'keeper Alyssa Healy and Kate Pelle as wicketkeepers on the Sixers' roster.
Sixers General Manager Rachael Haynes said Manix-Geeves' signing added both talent and character to the group.
"We're delighted to welcome Emma to the Sixers. Her performances at both a domestic level and with the Australian Indigenous Women's Team show the quality she brings as a wicketkeeper and batter," Haynes said.
"Emma is someone who adds character and depth to our group and we're looking forward to seeing the impact she can make in pink this season."
The Sixers are set to open their Weber WBBL|11 campaign against the Scorchers in Perth on Sunday, November 9.
