Brisbane Lions forward Callum Ah Chee looks set to take his talents to Adelaide next season – but not before one more shot at premiership glory.

The 27-year-old has been strongly linked to a move from the Lions, with reports suggesting that he has chosen the Crows' offer over West Coast's.

AFL.com journalist Callum Twomey weighed in on Gettable.

"He's keen to get to Adelaide – I expect that we'll see a trade request as soon as Brisbane's season finishes," he said.

"Now I think if you're Brisbane you're almost budgeting on him moving given they've got (Sam) Draper, (Oscar) Allen and maybe Jordan Ridley coming on board."

SEN's Kym Dillon echoed similar sentiments.

"I believe Brisbane will not match Adelaide's offer, he has chosen Adelaide's offer over West Coast, I understand," Dillon said.

Ah Chee previously joined Brisbane from the Gold Coast ahead of the 2020 season, and in 2023 signed a two-year contract extension to take him through to the end of this year.

Although he is out of contract, he is not a free agent, meaning a trade request will be required to secure the move to South Australia.

For now though, Ah Chee remains locked in on the job at hand – helping the Lions on their quest to overcome Geelong in this Saturday's premiership decider.

Despite the swirling speculation about his future, Ah Chee has proven his professionalism throughout September.

He returned to Western Australia earlier this month following the passing of his grandfather, but quickly re-joined his teammates to play a crucial role in two finals victories over the Suns and Collingwood.

His goal in the semi-final against Gold Coast was followed by a touching tribute, as he turned his fingers into the shape of a heart and pointed them skyward.

It was a reminder of the influence that his grandfather had on his journey.

Although this Saturday's contest may be the Ah Chee's last in the maroon, blue and gold colours, it shapes as one of the most important matches of his 168-game career.

But he is certainly no stranger to Grand Final day pressure.

Ah Chee was among Brisbane's best players in last year's decider against Sydney, kicking four goals and collecting 14 disposals to finish third in Norm Smith Medal voting.
