Appeal to locate Māori boy missing from suburban Sydney

NSW Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a Māori boy missing from Sydney's south west.

Joziah Maharaj, 10, was last seen at Minto Railway Station on Friday 14 August at approximately 4pm.

Officers attached to Liverpool Police Area Command were notified on Saturday 22 August 2026 and officers from Campbelltown City Police Area Command commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police and family hold serious concerns for Joziah's welfare due to his age and because he lives with a health condition.

Joziah is described as being of Māori / Pacific Islander appearance, of a slim build, with black hair that is short at the front and long at the back.

Inquiries indicate he may currently be in the Dundas Valley area.

Members of the public with information about Joziah's whereabouts are urged to contact Campbelltown Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via the Crime Stoppers website.
