Essendon has announced the club will not offer former father-son draft selection Jayden Davey a contract for the 2025 season.
The Bombers announced the list change via their website during the week.
Davey joined the club as a father-son pick in 2022 but missed his entire debut season due to recovering from a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament.
The Kokatha man, who is the son of former livewire small forward Alwyn Davey, showed encouraging signs at VFL level this year, kicking 17 goals from 18 games.
His season included three-goal performances against Williamstown in Round 7 and Casey Demons in Round 16.
Jayden's twin brother Alwyn Jr has played 20 games and kicked nine goals for the Bombers.
The Bombers' Talent and Operations Manager, Matt Rosa, thanked the 20-year-old for his contributions over the past two years.
"Jayden has worked incredibly hard over the past two years to recover from his ACL injury and get himself back to playing football," Rosa said.

"We thank him for his commitment and contribution to the club. Jayden will always be an Essendon person, and we wish him all the best moving forward."
His delisting comes after fellow small forward Tex Wanganeen was cut from the club's playing list at the end of August.
Wanganeen, who played five games for the Bombers in 2022, has signed with VFL club Port Melbourne for the 2025 season.
In other list management news, Richmond has delisted Matt Coulthard after six senior games over the past two seasons.
The Kokatha, Wirangu and Adnyamathanha man was originally selected by the Tigers' with the club's first pick (fourth overall) in the 2023 mid-season draft.
The South Australian made his debut later that year against Hawthorn, starting the game as the substitute and collecting seven disposals and a handful of influential score involvements in under a half of football.
Coulthard was delisted along with medium-sized forward Noah Cumberland, with Richmond's General Manager of Football Talent Blair Hartley thanking the pair for their services.
"Both Noah and Matthew moved interstate to join Richmond and put their best foot forward during their time at the club," Hartley said.
"We thank Noah for his hard work and efforts across the past five years with us, and Matthew for his contribution across the last 18 months.
"We wish them well for their future endeavours.
