Rising First Nations musician ICONYX releases new music video

Powerful up-and-coming First Nations artist ICONYX has released their third music video, Blak on Trak, from the album of the same name released last year.

The rising Kukatja and Pintupi artist who navigates their place in the world without sight is an 8-time WAM Award nominee and multiple category winner, the headline profile on "FIRST" Apple Music's First Nations playlist. They are also enjoying inclusion on ABC TV's Number one arts program - The Piano (Season 2).

A multi-instrumentalist and phenomenal singer, they blend hip-hop, pop, R&B and world music with the deep storytelling traditions of contemporary Aboriginal Australian music.

"Blak on Trak is one of those songs where my message is clear. I wanted to put it out there that love, support and acceptance come from many different places, in many different forms," ICONYX said.

"You've got to let your mob keep you steady, and take the time to listen to them. They've got you!"

ICONYX has also garnered national media attention including through the ABC Network, Triple J's Unearthed, Rolling Stone Australia and National Indigenous Times, with their Archie Roach cover Mulyawongk featuring on Rage and their songs playing across Australian radio.

The video drop comes at an exciting time for ICONYX, who is confirmed to play RTRFM's In The Pines in April and at the Karijini Experience, supporting Jessica Mauboy.

Showcasing their powerful voice, cultural heritage, and unique perspective as an artist telling stories and navigating the world without sight, ICONYX is expexted to progressively grow their career in 2026.
