Wests Tigers half Aidan Sezer will miss his side's upcoming matches against the Warriors and Cowboys after accepting a two match ban for a hip drop tackle on Jye Gray in Sunday's 42-28 loss to the Rabbitohs.

On Sunday, Sezer was offered the two weeks by the NRL judiciary, with the Tiger taking the early plea on Monday.

Sezer was binned for the tackle late in the match at Gosford, and later received a grade 2 contrary conduct charge from the league's match review committee.

It's the playmaker's second ban for a hip drop tackle in 2024 after copping four weeks for a similar incident with Bulldogs forward Josh Curran in round nine.

In all, Sezer has been sighted four times for dangerous contact this year, with two resulting in fines.

Wests have endured a horror run in 2024 as the most sin-binned side in the competition while pegged to the bottom of the ladder with four wins for the season.

They've conceded 40 points in all of their previous four matches.

Speaking post-match on Saturday, Tigers coach Benji Marshall said his side showed some good signs, particularly from younger players, without being able to finish off.

Souths crossed over for the final three tries of the match from the 59th minute.

"We're at the stage of the season now where we're just fighting to get through the games and try and win them like that at the end. We just don't know how to do it," Marshall said.
