Like major cities and regions across the country this weekend, South Australians are set to rally, protest and stand in solidarity on what is a day of mourning for many First Nations Australians.
Mourning ceremonies will be joined by speeches, performance and marches through the streets across the state for Survival Day / Invasion Day on January 26.
Survival Day Tandanyangga
When: From 11am
What: First Peoples and allies are invited to gather at Tandanyangga (Victoria Square) in the CBD for a march setting off south before looping back, followed by speeches and performances from esteemed, interstate and local First Nations and Māori artists, including Coloured Stone.
Where: Tandanyangga (Victoria Square, Adelaide)

Organiser Natasha Wanganeen invites people to "come down to show their support for Indigenous Australians, show respect for the land that they live on, knowing that it's stolen" and for First Peoples to "remember who you are, remember your rights to this place" and honour the work of their ancestors.
"Stand together. Stand in solidarity and stand strong," Ms Wangeneen told National Indigenous Times."
Ms Wanganeen said a potential clash with a major sporting event has been largely avoided to make little interruptions for the event.
Mourning in the Morning
When: From 7:30am
What: Prior to Survival Day Tandanyangga, South Australians are invited to the banks of Karrawirra Parri (River Torrens) in Tarntanya Wama (Elder Park) to honour First Nations Australians, culture and 60,000 years of history.
A Welcome to Kaurna Country precedes speeches from First Nations speakers, performance and activities.
A Smoking ceremony by revered Elder Uncle Moogy Sumner ends the event.

Peramangk Matta Survival Day - Reignite Our Spirit
When: From 11am
What: The Ruby Hunter Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to supporting Aboriginal people backed by arts and culture, invites the community "to join us on Peramangk Country at Laratinga Parri, standing in solidarity with First Nations communities across the region" with the theme Reignite Our Spirit.
"Together, we will respectfully honor our culture, connection, and resilience through storytelling, song and dance; as we remember and mourn our past, while embracing healing in the present for a stronger united future."
The event is delivered in partnership with Mount Barker District Council

Survival Day 2025
When: From 9am
Aboriginal-controlled community organisation Yura Yerlo and Port Adelaide Enfield Council host Survival Day, focused on the resilience and strength of Aboriginal & Zenadth Kes (Torres Strait) communities with ceremony, speeches, performance, a barbeque and creative workshops.
