Injury-prone Indigenous Collingwood key forward Nathan Kreuger has not been offered a contract for the 2025 season.

The Magpies announced three list changes via the club's website late last week, also delisting former Essendon-listed player Josh Eyre and ex-St Kilda midfielder Jack Bytel.

Kreuger – a Ngarrandjerri and Noongar man – spent the first three years of his AFL career at Geelong before joining the Magpies at the beginning of the 2022 season.

The 25-year-old originally made his AFL debut with the Cats – featuring in two games for the club in 2021 – before adding a further 13 games in his three seasons with Collingwood.

During his time with the Magpies, the talented tall suffered two significant shoulder injuries, and this year, he was plagued by hamstring and calf problems.

Kreuger managed just the six games for the club in 2024, which included a career-best three goals against Melbourne in Round 14.

Yorta Yorta man Josh Eyre was also delisted after three seasons in the AFL system.

The 21-year-old was originally selected by Essendon with pick 39 in the 2020 AFL National Draft, but was released by the club at the end of 2022 after being unable to break through for a senior debut.

Eyre is a versatile tall with the ability to play both in the forward-line and defence.

He received an AFL lifeline off the back of strong form at VFL level for the Magpies and was selected by the club in this year's Supplementary Selection Period.

Collingwood's Head of Football Strategy, Innovation and List Management Justin Leppitsch the decision to delist the three players was difficult.

"Decision-making at this time of the year is always difficult and we thank each of the players for their contribution to our club," Leppitsch said.

"Nathan's resilience to return from numerous injuries, and remain committed to his football and this program, needs to be commended.

"Whilst only with us for a short period, Jack and Josh added value to both our VFL and AFL programs, and we thank them for their dedication.

"On behalf of everyone at the club, we wish each player all the very best and we hope they continue to work towards reaching their football potential."
