One of the most prolific T20 careers in the format's history is coming to an end, likely to the relief of each franchise around the world not sporting him in their XI.
Wiradjuri allrounder and Sydney Sixers star Dan Christian has announced his retirement for the conclusion of the current Big Bash season.
His CV boasts 5809 runs across 405 games with cameos in all pockets of the globe.
The 39-year-old announced the news via Twitter on Saturday morning.
"Yesterday at training I told my Sydney Sixers teammates that I'll be retiring from playing at the end of the BBL season," Christian posted on Twitter on Saturday morning," he wrote.
"Sydney Smash tonight, followed by our last round game against the Hurricanes, and then the finals.
"Hopefully we can go all the way again this season, but regardless, it's been a great run. I've achieved things and made some memories that I could only have dreamt of as a kid."

Incredibly, almost every side to put him on the books found success, reaping the rewards of his abilities with both bat and ball.
Christian has won nine domestic titles in a number of men's competitions.
His extended period of success saw him re-enter the international scene with a call-up to the Australian set-up for 2021's T20 World Cup.
It followed a title-winning campaign with the Sixers two years after lifting the trophy with the Melbourne Renegades.
Christian retired from first-class cricket in 2018 to focus on the shorter format of the game.
He is expected to pursue a career in coaching.
