The Murri Chamber of Commerce has extended their invitations for the Indigenous Business Month Long Luncheon on Tuesday, 31st October.

This event marks Indigenous Business Month, a project initiated by the alumni of Melbourne Business School's MURRA Indigenous Business Master Class Program.

Their aim is to empower Indigenous communities and provide positive role models through business endeavors.

The Murri Chamber Long Lunch will take place at Bond University and feature refreshments from local Indigenous businesses Sobah, Yaru, and Dhuwa coffee and tea.

The theme, "To Gather, Together," encourages those to celebrate Indigenous business success and strengthen our connections, making it a perfect occasion to engage in an uplifting panel discussion and network with like-minded businesses.

Last year's event was enjoyed by many, thanks to comedy sets from Girrimay and Kuku Yalanji comedian and TV personality, Sean Choolburra, who also MCd the event, and Indigenous comedian Leon Firewood.

This year's event's highlights include a discussion on mental toughness by David Noble, formerly the North Melbourne Football Club Coach and currently the head of Shell V Power Racing, as well as a panel discussion on the future of Indigenous business post-referendum vote.

The panel includes Dominique Lamb, Queensland Small Business Commissioner; Sara Stuart, the Director of Aboriginal Economic Development for the Victorian Government, Head of Business School at Bond University, Professor Terry O'Neill and Brian Weyborn from First Nations Capital.
