Students from across the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara lands will get more chances to see their heroes whilst getting excited about maths and science, with the Adelaide Crows Foundation's Crows on Country program being extended to 2025.

Held in partnership with the Anangu Communities Foundation, Crows on Country is an adaptation of the football club's successful STEMfooty program. The program draws on the kids' love of footy to help them get excited, understand and appreciate science, maths and technology.

The program combines classroom learning with hands-on experiences to create real-world STEM connections, such as what angle a goal is kicked from. Supported by the Bibbulmun Foundation, the tailored program was piloted in four schools across the APY lands in 2022 and 2023.

The new partnership with the Anangu Communities Foundation will mean the program will be delivered to more schools, with Anangu educators to be employed to help assist with bilingual resources, as well as the integration of Anangu knowledge.

The success of the partnership is recognition of the pilot's success, which saw visits from both Crows AFL and AFLW players.

The Anangu Communities Foundation is administered by Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia, and since its introduction in 2033, have donated over $3 million to projects in the remote NPY lands of Central Australia.
