Proud Gunditjmarra and Peek Whurrong woman Jordan Mifsud has won the Victorian Football League women's competition's most prestigious individual award.

Mifsud tied with Box Hill teammate Akayla Peterson and Geelong midfielder Charlotte Simpson as join recipients of the Lambert-Pearce Medal, which is awarded to the best and fairest player in the VFLW competition.

Mifsud, Peterson and Simpson all finished on 14 votes each after a thrilling count that saw all three women poll in the final round of the season.

It was the first time in history that the award was shared.

Mifsud polled in eight matches, which was more than any other player in the competition.

She also earned selection on the half forward flank in the VFLW Team of the Year.

After producing excellent form at local level for VAFA club Old Scotch and Southern Football League club Oakleigh Districts, Mifsud joined the Hawks at the beginning of the 2022 season.

She played all 15 games, averaging 16 disposals and five tackles per game while claiming the Hawks best-and-fairest award.

However, Mifsud has elevated her game to another level in 2023 increasing her disposal count to 19 touches per game.

The Box Hill leadership group member also increased her physicality, laying an incredible 10.4 tackles per game, which places her in the top five from the entire competition.

Before joining the Hawks, Mifsud also played four games in the VFLW for Collingwood.

Mifsud played seven games for Waratah in the Northern Territory Football League last year and she is expected to play in the Top End again this upcoming season.
