The Crows are investigating reports of online vilification directed towards Port Adelaide's Willie Rioli made during Saturday night's Showdown.

In a statement on Monday, Adelaide condemned the "disgusting behaviour" and confirmed investigations are taking place with the AFL's integrity unit notified, but that individual allegedly responsible "is not a Crows member".

The Power also confirmed they are aware of racist comments made on social media during the 22-point win over their cross-town rivals.

Adelaide said "there is no place for racism in our game and society".

"It is extremely disappointing that our industry once again finds itself dealing with such unacceptable behaviour," they said in a statement.

Port Adelaide issued a similar message, saying the club "condemns all forms of racism".

"It causes deep harm and distress beyond the individual the words are directed at," the Power said in their statement.

"Racism is abhorrent, unacceptable and never welcome – not in football, not anywhere."

Rioli was previously the victim of online racist attacks following Port's meeting with Collingwood in round 19, 2023.

It followed a string of similar incidents to start last year's season, prompting the AFL to announce lifetime bans for any fan found guilty of vilification.

Last month, a Lions fan publicly apologised, saying he was "extremely remorseful", for online racist comments made in relation to Crows forward Izak Rankine.

On Sunday, Port's Dan Houston was referred directly to the tribunal by the Match Review Officer for a brutal bump which saw Rankine carted off the ground and ruled out of the match with concussion during the third quarter.
