Shai Bolton is relishing increased time in the midfield after delivering arguably his best performance in Fremantle colours.
The Menang Noongar man was the highest-rated player on the ground in the Dockers' upset 34-point win over Greater Western Sydney at ENGIE Stadium on Saturday.
The former Richmond star collected 24 disposals and kicked an equal game-high three goals, showcasing his trademark flair and creativity around the contest.
A modest Bolton spoke to Fox Footy after the match, crediting a position-shift for his return to form.
"I'm playing more midfield," Bolton said.
"I won't take too much credit for it, all the boys there help me out, they're always talking to me.
"All the boys played their role, it was a good win and a much-needed one."
Bolton appeared hampered by a groin complaint earlier in the match, but he quickly dismissed any concerns.
"It's all good, I was just carrying on I reckon," he laughed.

Fremantle coach Justin Longmuir was full of praise for the 26-year-old post-match, describing him as a valuable addition both on and off the field.
"He's been a great addition," Longmuir said.
"The flexibility he provides – when he first came into the team, he was off a shorter run-up in terms of fitness, so we played him forward a bit more.
"Over the last three or four weeks, with four midfielders out, we've asked him to play midfield – especially the last two weeks – and he's stood up to the challenge.
"He hit the scoreboard tonight with his time forward, but his ability to get the ball going our way is paramount to complementing Serong and Brayshaw.
"Off the field, he's a bubbly character, likes a joke, but has a real serious side when it comes to wanting us to be a really good footy team."
After a quiet game against St Kilda where he managed just seven disposals, Bolton has responded strongly.
He gathered 28 touches against Collingwood and backed it up with Saturday's effort, where he was again among his team's best performers.
Since joining the Dockers in a much-publicised trade last off-season, Bolton has averaged 19 disposals and more than a goal per game.
The dynamic midfielder said he was proud to represent the club during Sir Doug Nicholls Round and was honoured to wear the Dockers' Indigenous jumper, designed by former Fremantle star Jeff Farmer.
"It means a lot obviously for my family, everyone comes to watch these games," he said.
"It's just an important round, Indigenous culture is very strong.
"Obviously he (Farmer) is a legend of Freo, a lot of the boys look up to him, it's just a wonderful jumper and I think we get to play in it again next week too."
