The Quandamooka Yoolooburrabee Aboriginal Corporation has announced a change to its Executive Team following the conclusion of Stephen Wright's tenure as chief executive officer.

Mr Wright has been with QYAC for almost two years, and the organisation acknowledged his contributions.

An open recruitment process will soon commence for a new CEO.

In the interim, QYAC has appointed experienced lawyer, executive, and non-executive director Ms Kate Healy as Acting CEO during the transition.

The Board has approved Chair Cameron Costello, a former QYAC chief executive, to lead a Transition Team alongside Ms Healy and Mike Fordham, Chair of QYAC's Finance, Audit and Risk Committee, while recruitment is underway.

"I look forward to supporting Kate, Mike and the Transition team during this period, so we can quickly maintain consistency and stability across the organisation and continue to drive our Strategic Plan to achieve the best cultural, environmental and economic outcomes for the Quandamooka people and the wider community," Mr Costello said.

Ms Healy has extensive Indigenous economic development experience, having served as CEO of Māori organisations, a commercial lawyer with MinterEllison, and a director with the Indigenous Land and Sea Corporation and Community Spirit Foundation.
