Extraordinary lineup for the NT First Nations Leadership Summit in Darwin

The NT First Nations Leadership Summit will feature an all-star line up of speakers and guests in Darwin, November 13-14.

The event is presented by the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Women's Alliance (NATSIWA) in partnership with The Hatchery.

The two-day celebration of the excellence of current and future First Nations leaders features Wiradjuri, Kamilaroi & Dharrawal man, journalist, academic and author Professor Stan Grant; Wiradjuri tennis champion and founder of the Evonne Goolagong Foundation, Evonne Goolagong Cawley AC MBE; Gija, Yawuru Iwatja & Gagudju people, two-time Olympic gold medalist and former NT Senator of the Northern Territory Nova Peris; Yiman & Bidjara woman, Associate Provost & Foundation Chair of Australian Indigenous Studies, Professor Marcia Langton AO; Bunuba woman and Wiyi Yani U Thangani Institute for First Nations Gender Justice chair June Oscar AO; and many more.

This summit is a space to amplify the voice, wisdom and excellence of First Nations men and women in leadership. In a united forum, this summit honours the stories of First Nations leadership and is a place to share learnings and advice amongst peers and others on the path to leadership. Through storytelling, reflection and connection, this summit will build on a strong First Nations network of leaders and empower the next generation of storytellers and changemakers.

Also speaking at the Summit are Leanne Liddle, Professor Reuben Bolt, Jade Ritchie, Tahlia Biggs, Lateesha Jeffrey, Byron Davis, rob McPhee, Cindy Torrens, Steve Rossingh, Joshua White, Nigel Browne, Tara Liddy, Nicole Brown, and NT Anti-Discrimination Commission member Jeswynn Yogaratnam.

NATSIWA chief executive Wendy Anders will also join the star-studded line up.

The two-day event will be held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Esplanade Darwin, Garramilla/Darwin City, and streamed online.
