Adelaide Crows star Danielle Ponter has produced a starring performance against the team her famous uncle's team.
Ponter – the niece of Essendon champion Michael Long – booted three goals in the Crows' 12.9 (81) to 5.4 (34) win over the Bombers yesterday afternoon.
The 23-year-old has started the AFLW season in exceptional form, following on from a best afield performance against Richmond last weekend.
During that game, Ponter was nominated for Goal of the Year after an incredible long goal from well inside the centre square.
After winning the centre clearance, the Crows star propelled the ball forward, which carried over a group of Tigers defenders before travelling through the goals.
Ponter was equally exhilarating with her three opening half goals.
When Ponter kicked her third goal just before the half time break, she equalled Erin Phillips as the Crows' all-time leading goal kicker.

During his press conference, Adelaide's coach Matthew Clarke was full of praise for the two-time premiership player after she reached the 50-goal milestone.
"Fifty goals is a great achievement in the fairly abbreviated seasons and she's been fairly unbelievable for us particularly in big games," Clarke told reporters.
"She's stood up many, many times and we've very grateful and thankful to have her on our list."
Clarke also said Ponter's increased fitness levels have allowed her to make an impact through the midfield.
"Each season she's worked really hard to get her fitness up to the level where she can spend some time through the midfield," Clarke said.
"Obviously very clean, silky skills, we love having her around the ball, but she's also pretty dangerous up forward, so we don't want to rob Peter to pay Paul."
Ponter has played 45 games for Adelaide since being recruited to the club with selection 48 in the 2018 AFLW Draft.
Prior to being drafted by the Crows, Ponter previously played with Essendon in the VFL and in 2018 kicked six goals from six games.
The Bombers put in a contract offer in for Ponter at the beginning of their inaugural AFLW season, but Ponter told SEN's Fridays in the Top End earlier this year that she was happy as a Crow.
"There was that initial offer but obviously I am really comfortable with where I am at with the Crows and the culture that we have," Ponter said.
"We'll see how that goes. Obviously that's something I will eventually look in to, but for now I am pretty comfortably with where I am at."
