The Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) is inviting First Nations entrepreneurs and business owners to join an upcoming online information session and survey for their Singapore Landing Pad program. Launched in 2017, the Singapore Landing Pad is designed to equip Indigenous business owners and operators with the knowledge and networks required to scale their businesses into the region.
The webinar will be held on Thursday 20 April 2023 and will be an introduction to Austrade's trade services and resources and information on pathways for promoting Indigenous businesses internationally. Participants will also learn about grant support available to companies looking to expand and hear from a First Nations business owner about their export experience in Singapore.
Speakers for the event include Amelia Walsh, Trade and Investment Commissioner for Austrade Singapore, Melanie Harris, Trade and Investment Commissioner and First Nations Champion, and Natalya Twohill, Landing Pad Director for Austrade Singapore.
This session is an excellent opportunity for First Nations entrepreneurs, business owners, and aspiring entrepreneurs to learn about the resources and services available to them through Austrade and the Singapore Landing Pad.
The Landing Pad program is a unique initiative by Austrade to provide market-ready scaleups with an operational base and customized support for their overseas expansion goals. The program is designed to help Australian businesses to tap into global markets by providing access to co-working spaces, entrepreneurs in residence, and connections to local founder communities.
Austrade's Landing Pad program is currently available in five international cities: Singapore, San Francisco, Tel Aviv, Berlin, and Shanghai. Each of these Landing Pads is staffed with a dedicated Landing Pad manager, who provides expert guidance and support to participating scaleups.
Scaleups that join the program can expect to participate in an immersive program that is tailored to their specific needs and goals.
