Exciting forward Liam Ryan is reportedly closing in on a new contract extension with West Coast.
Reports from The West Australian indicate that the 27-year-old will sign a two-year extension to remain at the Eagles until at least the end of the 2026 season.
Ryan is one of the club's most talented and marketable footballers, however has struggled with injury over the past 12 months.
He played just the opening three games of the 2023 season before succumbing to a hamstring injury.
Ryan was expected to return to the struggling Eagles line-up in the latter stages of the season, but the club decided not to risk him and opted for surgery.
"Liam has had a number of specialist opinions and the medical advice is he will need further surgery on his hamstring," West Coast's head of health Mark Finucane said at the time via a club injury update.

Ryan has played 89 games for the Eagles since being selected with pick 26 in the 2017 AFL National Draft off the back of a brilliant year with West Australian Football League club Subiaco.
He made his debut in the opening round of the following season and later that year was a member of West Coast's thrilling premiership win over Collingwood.
The high-flying forward was selected in the 2020 All-Australian team after an outstanding season and Eagles coaches and supporters will hope that the West Australian can recapture that form upon his return from injury.
Ryan reportedly played a large role in luring former Hawthorn small forward Tyler Brockman across to the club.
Brockman joined the Eagles during last year's AFL Trade Period with the Eagles handing over draft picks 44 and 63 in exchange for the talented young Hawk.
