A man has been charged with the murder of 21-year-old Jayda Lou-Eve Allen Bonner.
Jayda was found deceased at a residence on Cardigan Street in the inner-north suburb of Carlton at about 1.45 am on Saturday after emergency services were called.
Victoria Police allege a 31-year-old man, who turned himself in following the death of the Yagera woman on Tuesday morning, knew the deceased.
On Wednesday afternoon, homicide detectives announced they had charged the man with murder.
He will appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court later today, Victoria Police said.
A 60-year-old man was arrested shortly after the incident before being released.

There has been an outpouring of grief following the 21-year-old's death. A smoking ceremony is planned at the Lygon Street housing towers over the weekend before a march to state Parliament demanding an end to violence against women.
Following the 31-year-old man's arrest on Tuesday, Jayda's Aunty, Kelly Carter-Bell, told Nine News: "I want people to understand the person Jayda was and the beautiful light she was."
"She's had a really difficult, hard life. But was so, so, so loved."
