Adelaide have confirmed Shane McAdam is seeking a move to join Melbourne ahead of the 2024 season.
Rumours broke of the 28-year-old's desire to leave the Crows last week, with the club saying on Thursday McAdam had voiced this desire to land at the Dees.
Adelaide said they were "keen to retain McAdam" who is "viewed as an important player" and had placed a contract on the table.
The forward landed at the Crows in 2018 in an immediate trade after Carlton picked him up as a mature-aged pre-draft access pick.
He's kicked 72 in 50 games since his debut in 2020.
McAdam recently suffered a depressed cheekbone in the final rounds of the home-and-away season, which required surgery.
After notifying Fremantle of his wish for a change late last month, Liam Henry is understood to have nominated St Kilda as his preferred home for next year.
The news came last week after a career-best season in 2023.
Henry's services could fill a void left by Saints 100-gamer Jade Gresham, who is reportedly assessing his options with no contract in front of him to stay at the club next year.
St Kilda delisted Jack Peris earlier this week after just one senior performance from the 19-year-old.
