Young AFL stars Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera and Jase Burgoyne have been attacked with vile racist online abuse.

The pair both posted messages received from social media users on Sunday night.

Wanganeen-Milera shared the list of messages he received, which included a pair of highly-offensive slurs, and appears to relate to bets placed by the user on the Saints loss to Sydney earlier in the afternoon.

"(B)ro you fu**ing n*****," the user first wrote, later re-using the slur.

The St Kilda star called out the abuse in his post, writing "Over a game of football! Hero mate".

Burgoyne also shared a thread of messages received from a separate account, which included extremely vulgar taunts alongside racist slurs.

The user also made an odd reference to Welcome to Country ceremonies, among other vilifying comments.

Both footballers, who are close friends, had played in separate matches earlier in the day.

Burgoyne's Power survived a scare to escape with a tough-fought out a win over West Coast at home.

Earlier in the season his Port teammate Willie Rioli took time away from the club after receiving racist abuse online.

In a club podcast published earlier in the week, Rioli revealed he almost gave away professional footy at periods.

As of Sunday evening, Port and St Kilda are yet to publicly address the abuse sent to their players.

Clubs, the AFL and AFL Players Association have condemned vilifying attacks on players.
