First Nations entrepreneur Mundanara Bayles has become the first Indigenous podcaster to join the iHeart Podcast Network.

Since starting up the Black Magic Woman podcast two years ago, Ms Bayles has garnished a massive audience by interviewing First Nation doctors, lawyers, parents, entrepreneurs, professors, authors and actors.

The conversations-style podcast features not only Indigenous people from Australia but all over the world who tell their stories and highlight the diversity and resilience amongst First Nations peoples.

Ms Bayles, who is connected to the Wonnarua and Bunjalung people on her mother's side and the Birri-Gubba and Gungalu on her father's side, said the partnership with iHeart would mean broader Indigenous communities can listen to her important podcast.

"Based on the research that most of our listeners are in capital cities, ARN's extended reach in regional Australia presents a great opportunity for Black Magic Woman to gain more listeners and educate people in these areas," she said.

The managing director and facilitator of Blackcard – a company that promotes the understanding of First Nations culture and people - hopes to inspire other Indigenous people to start podcasting and share their own stories.

Ms Bayles was only this week nominated for Indigenous Businesswoman of the Year in Supply Nation's Supplier Diversity Awards.

"By having Black Magic Woman with iHeart we can inspire other Aboriginal people to see that if they can deliver and develop a product as good as what we've been able to do, then there's nothing stopping them from being amplified by mainstream networks," she said.

Head of Digital Audio, Corey Layton said the collaboration between Black Magic Woman and iHeartPodcasts was a significant step forward in ensuring Indigenous voices were heard and celebrated.

"By partnering with Mundanara, we aim to foster a more inclusive podcasting landscape that educates, inspires and promotes positive change," he said.
