Richmond star Daniel Rioli claimed the Ian Stewart Medal after being judged best afield in his team's comprehensive loss to St Kilda on Sunday.
Rioli posted a career-best 36 disposals and led allcomers with a massive 689 metres gained as the Tigers succumbed to the Saints 15.9 (99) to 7.9 (51) at Marvel Stadium.
The Tiwi man polled eight out of a maximum nine votes from judges Alister Nicholson, Sarah Black and David Schwarze, to finish one vote ahead of Saints ruckman Rowan Marshall.
The Ian Stewart Medal is awarded during games against Richmond and St Kilda and pays homage to the triple-Brownlow Medallist who represented both clubs.
Rioli continues to produce strong form for the Tigers despite his name heavily linked in trade rumours.
Richmond coach Adem Yze was full of praise for the 27-year-old post-match, stating that the rebounding defender is 'so engaged' with the club.
"Even in the last quarter, we were trying different things ... he's one guy who just kept toiling away," Yze said.
"And we actually really engaged when he was off the ground in the last quarter, and (he) showed some real strong leadership in that area, which is terrific.
"His performance was very good."

Rioli has enjoyed a tremendous career with the Tigers so far, including playing 181 games and being an integral member of the club's three premiership wins across the past decade.
The Territorian is averaging over 23 disposals per game and would be one of the leading contenders for Richmond's best-and-fairest award in 2024.
Yze acknowledged the trade 'speculation' but preferred to celebrate the commitment and professional shown by Rioli, despite a dismal season for his team.
"All of those things (trade rumours) are just speculation.
"But right now it's great to see him with a smile on his face and really engaged with our footy club and really trying to finish off the year strongly.
"That's the type of player he is, he'd be in All-Australian contention, he's a terrific kid, and his leadership is growing at our footy club.
"He's a contracted player and that's the reason why he's really looked after at our footy club, and we hold him in high regard."
In other performances, Palawa man Rhyan Mansell had 13 disposals and an equal team-high five inside-50s while Menang Noongar man Shai Bolton finished with 11 touches and two goals.
Narangga man Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera (23 disposals) and Noongar man Brad Hill (21) continued their consistent seasons for St Kilda.
