St Kilda has announced contract extensions for exciting young duo Lance Collard and Isaac Keeler.

Collard has signed a new three-year extension to remain at the club until at least the end of the 2027 season while Keeler has signed a new one-year deal.

St Kilda Executive General Manager David Misson said he had high hopes for Collard's future.

"Lance is still adapting to life at AFL level, but we see big things in his future," Misson said.

"We're confident that with another pre-season under his belt and the continued guidance of his coaches and teammates, Lance has the potential to be a really great player for this football club."

Collard's signing was announced alongside fellow forwards Dan Butler and Cooper Sharman.

"Dan, Cooper and Lance all play unique, but essential roles in our forward mix and we're glad to have them all locked in for the next few years," Misson said.

The 19-year-old Collard played three AFL games this season after being selected by the Saints with pick 28 in the 2023 National Draft.

The Noongar and Yamatji man showed strong form at VFL level, kicking 15 goals from 11 games, including a four-goal performance against Essendon in Round 2 and a three-goal effort against North Melbourne in Round 6.

During the season Collard received a six-game suspension after using homophobic slurs against multiple opponents during a VFL game against Williamstown.

Keeler was among six players – along with Jimmy Webster, Ryan Byrnes, Liam Stocker, Angus McLennan and Max Heath – that the Saints re-signed late last week.

"The roles these guys play for us aren't always glamorous, but they are crucial to our system and our gameplan," Misson said.

"We're really pleased to be in a position to provide some stability for these valued players.

"We look forward to seeing the impact they can have across the pre-season, as we look to capitalise on the momentum we captured late in the season."

The Kokatha and Wirangu man is yet to make his AFL debut but played 14 VFL games in 2024 and has shown promising form for the club's VFL affiliate Sandringham.

The 198cm Keeler is a raw, yet talented prospect who arrived at the club with selection 44 in the 2022 National Draft.

He spent time this year playing as a key forward with his excellent agility making him a tough match-up for opposition key defenders.

Keeler finished the season strongly by posting three-goal performances against Southport in Round 17 and Richmond in Round 20.
