WA Minister for Health Infrastructure John Carey has announced a significant increase in the capacity of Fitzroy Crossing's Renal Health Centre in the Kimberley region.
"Expansion of one of our most remote renal dialysis facilities is now complete with an additional 16 renal patients now able to receive regular dialysis treatments closer to home," Mr Carey said on Wednesday.
"The revitalised centre features four additional renal dialysis chairs, treatment bays and new waiting areas.
"The centre's design also incorporates local artworks, helping to provide welcoming surroundings for patients during treatment.
"This project is part of our record $4.9 billion health infrastructure program which is ensuring that patients have access to care closer to home and on Country."
Kimberley MLA Divina D'Anna was present to help celebrate the expansion of the Centre, which is run by Kimberley Renal Services.
