Brisbane Lions utility Bruce Reville has signed a new deal that will see him remain at the club until at least the end of the 2026 season.
The Lions announced the Papua New Guinea-born Reville's one-year contract extension during the week.
The 25-year-old made his AFL debut in Round 8 last year against the Gold Coast and finished with 12 games for the season.
Reville struggled with a hamstring injury earlier this year but has added a further five games to his tally as he attempts to solidify his position in Brisbane's best team.
He told Lions' media he was grateful for the opportunities the club has given him and his family.
"Obviously my journey to the AFL was a bit longer than most so it makes these moments just a little more special to us," Reville said.
"It's a privilege to wear this jersey and to be able to do that for another year is special."
Reville began his football journey in Cairns, before moving to Burrum Heads, Maryborough and finally Brisbane, where he became a member of the Lions' Academy.
After being overlooked during his draft year, he plied his trade for Brisbane's VFL team before finally being selected by the club as a Category B rookie in the 2023 Rookie Draft.
Reville said that he has adopted a team first mindset and is prepared to play any role for the team.
"I just want to focus on what 2025 is going to look like for me and the club and be ready for any opportunity that comes my way," he said.
"The goal for the rest of this year is just to play consistently good footy and be ready to do whatever the team needs me to."
Lions General Manager of Football Danny Daly said the new contract was a great reward for Reville.
"He is as committed as any player in wanting to get the best out of themselves and reaching their full potential," Daly said.
"To see him come through the Youi Brisbane Lions Academy into our VFL program and now be signed on for his third season of AFL is fantastic.
"Bruce has shown he is more than capable at AFL level, and we look forward to seeing him continue to develop his game across the next 18 months.
"We are rapt to have Bruce, his partner Zoe and their family staying at the Lions."
In other contract news, Greater Western Sydney youngster Josaia Delana has also inked a one-year extension.
The Giants Academy graduate joined the club last year as a Category B rookie made his AFL debut earlier this season.
The 19-year-old from Western Sydney said that he is excited for the journey ahead.

"I was very fortunate to get drafted by the club and to get another year here is a dream," Delana said.
"It's a great culture at the club – there's no other club I'd want to go to – the culture, the community, the fans, to the people in-house with the coaches and the playing group – I love it all."
"To think only six months ago my name was being chucked around on whether I'd be drafted or not and then to think about all that I've accomplished in the six months after is pretty special."
The exciting small forward has made three appearances at AFL level and has produced strong form in the VFL, averaging over a goal per game.
