Continuing her domination of the tartan track after the 2023 Australian Track and Field Championships is Telaya 'Hotfoot' Blacksmith.

The Walripi trackstar has been making waves in the athletics world as she has been the number one ranked U20 Para-athlete in the world since she was 15, and she's still only 16.

Last week's event in Brisbane was another day in the office for Ms Blacksmith.

Her first event was the preliminary heats for the 100m where she ran a qualifying time of 12.89s (+.9), over a second faster than the rest of the heat and a fraction off her record of 12:83s.

The 100m final told a familiar tale as Telaya ran a 12.79s (+.1), smashing the U17 and U20 Australian Open records in the 100m, resulting in a well deserved gold medal.

Ms Blacksmith's 400m proved to be yet another display of dominance where she beat out her previous record of 1:02:37s with a staggering 1:01:53s, inching closer to that 60 second barrier.
