NSW Origin and Indigenous All Stars representatives Latrell Mitchell and Jack Wighton have reportedly been arrested following an alleged incident at a Canberra nightclub in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Both men spent the night in police cells following a physical altercation during Wighton's 30th birthday celebrations.
According to NewsCorp, onlookers said the stoush presented as little more than a friendly tussle. The pair are known to be close mates.
However, police were called and Mitchell has been charged with resisting arrest.
It is understood Canberra Raiders chief executive Don Furner picked Wighton up from the police station on Sunday morning with Mitchell travelling back to Sydney.
An NRL spokesperson has confirmed the matter is being investigated by the league's integrity unit.
Both Wighton and Mitchell were selected in the Indigenous All Stars squad for their annual curtain-raiser with the Maori All Stars in New Zealand next weekend.
They are expected to face court in the ACT.
