Brooke Peris will represent Australia at her third Olympic Games after being named in the 16-member Australian women's hockey team, announced on Monday.
Peris will co-captain the team alongside Jane Claxton, Kaitlin Nobbs and Grace Stewart for the 2024 Paris Olympics later this month.
The Hockeyroos star said that it still 'hasn't quite sunk in' that she will be representing her country at another Olympic Games.
"It's been a big journey and I've loved every moment," Peris said.
"I have a really good feeling about it this time around, we're in such a good place and I'm in a good place and I'm very excited."
Peris said that she is confident in the team that was selected by the Australian Olympic Committee earlier in the week.
"I feel like we have a really solid mixture of experience with the girls that are coming through who are fresh and vibrant and they just bring so much flair to our game," she said.
"I'm very grateful that I get to be part of this team and we're just ready to go."
Peris is the cousin of champion athlete Nova Peris, who was a member of the gold medal-winning Hockeyroos team from the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta.

The 31-year-old has enjoyed a tremendous career with the Hockeyroos and is the most capped Indigenous player in Australian hockey.
She reached the 200-game milestone in Perth earlier this year during a round robin series as part of the Perth International Festival of Hockey.
"It's been a 10-year journey and I've enjoyed every bit of it," she said at the time.
The Hockeyroos' official Instagram described Peris as a leader "on and off the pitch".
"Brooke has become a crucial part of the team with a knack for scoring goals when we need them – including the equaliser in the match that gained us qualification for Paris," it read.
The Territory junior represented the Hockeyroos at the Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo Olympics, and also won a silver medal at the Commonwealth Games.
Brooke's brother Jonathan Peris told the NT News that the family was very proud of all her achievements.
"We are so proud of Brookie and can't wait to watch her in Paris," Peris said.
"This year, Brooke reaching her 200th game was a great milestone, and now, heading to her third Olympics is an unbelievable achievement.
"It has been fantastic to watch her journey over the years, from representing the NT to joining the Australian Under-21 team, and then the Hockeyroos.
"We are extremely excited for Brooke, and proud is an understatement."
