Gold Coast forward Malcolm Rosas will remain a Sun until at least the end of 2025 after signing a two-year contract extension with the club on Wednesday.
Rosas has kicked 26 goals across his 34 games with Gold Coast since his debut in 2021.
The first Darwin zone signing to arrive at the Suns, Rosas is one of five Top End men at the club, including fellow mob Ben Long, Joel Jeffrey and Jed Anderson.
The Suns' annual trips to host games in the Territory was mentioned by the 22-year-old upon extending his time in red and gold.
Rosas played junior footy with Darwin Buffaloes before a stint with NEAFL outfit NT Thunder.
"I love the club and have made strong friendships and connections with the playing group and coaches," Rosas said.
"Having the opportunity to play games in Darwin is really special to me too. I love playing in front of friends and family.
"I'm really excited to stay at the SUNS and help the team achieve success."
Rosas has previously knocked back offers from Essendon trying to lure him to Victoria.
On Tuesday he told 9News "I like the weather (on the Gold Coast), it reminds me of home".
After a handful of games in his first year, Rosas has put together more consistency in the club's senior side - including 15 games so far in 2023.
He slotted four majors in Gold Coast's dramatic 5-point loss to Melbourne at home in round 8.
"Malcolm has started to make his mark at AFL level and we're excited to see that continue into the future at the SUNS," General Manager of Player Talent & Strategy Craig Cameron said.
"He has worked hard for his opportunity in the AFL and is a role model for young players in the Northern Territory to follow in his footsteps."
Rosas has shown an ability to impact games with just a few touches of the footy.
