Marion Scrymgour has been re-elected to the NT federal seat of Lingiari with a 6.1 per cent swing to Labor.
Ms Scrymgour, who has links to the Tiwi Islands through her mother and Central Australia through her father, was first elected are Member for Lingiari in 2022.
Her election to federal parliament came after a celebrate career as a Territory MP, including being the first ever Indigenous Deputy Chief Minister of the NT.
On Saturday evening with close to 52 per cent of the vote counted, Ms Scrymgour was on track to collect 57.7 per cent of the two-party preferred vote.
Country Liberal senator for the NT, Jacinta Nampijinpa Price, said late on election day that crime had been a major campaign issue in the Territory.
However, Labor won both of the lower house seats contested, with Solomon being retained by the ALP's Luke Gosling for his fourth term, despite a swing of 6.1 per cent to the Country Liberals.
Mr Gosling defeated the CLP candidate, former police officer Lisa Bayliss, and saw off a strong challenge from independent candidate Phil Scott.
