Sydney's Blak Markets is making its return to Tallawoladah Lawn at The Rocks, overlooking Sydney Harbour.

The two-day event will kick off on Saturday 4 March.

Established by Indigenous charity First Hand Solutions, Blak Markets gives Sydney-siders the chance to shop local and support a good cause, with proceeds going back into building First Nations communities.

On Saturday morning, 10am, there will be a traditional Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony.

Throughout the weekend there will be multiple Indigenous dances, singing performances, and hand-ons craft and weaving workshops.

From 10am - 4pm on both days, kids storytelling will be led by Wiradjuri storyteller Larry Brandy, followed by a crafting workshop.

Blak Markets will feature more than 20 unique Indigenous Australian stalls selling a range of authentic and handmade artworks, jewellery and homewares. It's the perfect opportunity to grab a meaningful gift for yourself and loved ones while celebrating First Nations makers, artists and small business owners.

Sasha Sarago, owner of Ascension Shop, one of the many stalls to feature at the Markets, says what keeps the markets going is the supportive community they've established amongst the Blak Markets stallholders.

"The Blak Markets is a wonderful way to connect with Blak businesses directly, build relationships with the local community, and learn about Indigenous culture with the peace of mind you are supporting 100% Indigenous-owned and operated enterprises," she said.

"Which in turn is helping our industries to increase economic opportunities and build generational wealth for future generations."

Commenting on The Rocks and the site's rich Indigenous history, Ms Sarago said: "It's a beautiful feeling to be connected to a rich history that still has a strong cultural and spiritual presence."
