Young guns, competition veterans and premiership players are set to feature for the Indigenous All Stars in the return of the side after a decade, with the full squad announced Monday morning.

16 clubs are represented across Xavier Clarke's 31-man squad coming up against Fremantle at Optus Stadium on February 15.

Among them are nine premiership players and six former top ten draftees.

Silky ball users Jase Burgoyne, Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera and emerging Cats favourite Lawson Humphries make up the junior contingent alongside established ball winner Jason Horne-Francis, goalsneaks Maurice Rioli and Jesse Motlop, and yet-to-debut Eagles tall Coen Livingstone.

The side is spoiled for choice for x factor up with Kysaiah Pickett, Bobby Hill, Willie Rioli, Tyson Stengle, Michael Walters and premiership Lions Charlie Cameron and Callum Ah Chee included.

Mid-forward utilities Izak Rankine and Shai Bolton also feature, while target options upfront are Ash Johnson and Jeremy Finlayson.

Intercept markers Steven May and Liam Jones firm things up in the defensive half. The pair previously represented the Indigenous All Stars in 2013.

Fremantle skipper Alex Pearce joins them down back.

May, who's earned another chance to play amongst the competition's best First Nations talent, said "I always dreamed of being part of it" growing up in the top end.

"I was lucky enough to play back in 2013, and it's pretty surreal that I get that opportunity again," he said.

"It's a privilege to represent our culture on the big stage. It's also a great chance for us to come together, from different cultures and backgrounds, to play the game that we all love. Hopefully we can put on a good show."

Humphries, who quickly proved himself as a future star across an impressive start to AFL footy for Geelong in 2024, said his inclusion is something "I'm truly proud of" and is "incredibly grateful for the opportunity to represent my culture and family".

"Growing up, I admired players like Adam Goodes, Lewis Jetta, and Sonny (Michael Walters), who inspired me to play footy," the 21-year-old said.

"Being able to play alongside some of the league's best, and players who have played a pivotal role in driving social change both in society and within the AFL, is a real privilege.

"This opportunity will be a great learning experience for me as I deepen my connections within the AFL and gain a better understanding of both culture and the game.

"Being a Kimberley boy that grew up in the Pilbara, to be able to represent my culture and background surrounded by friends and family in the stands is something I won't take for granted. Being so far away it's hard for them to watch my games, so to play in front of them, whilst representing them is exciting, and to do it against the team my family barracked for makes it even more special."

Horne-Francis, who said representing his culture is an "honour" is one of four Port players selected - the most from any club in the competition.

Fellow midfield guns Tim Kelly, North skipper Jy Simpkin have also been named.

Sydney and GWS are the only clubs without a player named in the squad.

11 players had already been confirmed in the squad, including Dockers Alex Pearce, Bolton and Walters, who'll switch allegiances next Saturday.

"It was fantastic to see so many players available to play in the game. It's an exciting squad and I can't wait to coach such a great list of players against Fremantle," head coach Xavier Clarke said.

"I am in a fortunate position of having so much talent to work with and I can't wait to see the boys put on a show."

Premiership Hawk Chance Bateman, former Saints tall Jarrod Lienert, Port Adelaide development coach Jason Williams and the Dockers' NGA and game development coach Roger Hayden were named assistant coaches last week.
