An official complaint has highlighted alleged police brutality and racism involving the Queensland Police Service at Morayfield Shopping Centre on November 10, 2023.

A woman has alleged that TridentSec Solutions security guards and a Queensland Police Officer mistreated a 9-year-old child and herself.

The child, who had allegedly been caught stealing, was detained by four TridentSec staff until police arrived.

The police officer can be heard in the body cam footage telling the child "don't tell me to f*ck off," multiple times.

The woman, who was shopping at the time, filmed the incident.

She claims the officer arrived and twisted the child's arm despite his cries for help.

The police officer can be seen objecting to being filmed and threatened the woman, ultimately seizing her phone and arresting her.

"I asked him for my phone back and he wouldn't give it to me," she said.

The woman alleges her arm was bruised while she was being forced into the paddy wagon, and has a photograph showing the injury.

She was charged with trespassing, resisting arrest, and failure to give particulars.

The woman describes further abuse at the Morayfield police beat, including denial of medical assistance, being unable to speak with an Indigenous Liaison Officer, and inappropriate searches.

"He was ranting and screaming and said I would get banned from the shopping centre for life," she said.

"I asked him to call an ambulance, which he refused at first.

"I had a panic attack and was laying on the floor and he kicked me under the desk, out of view of his body worn camera, of course.

"I also asked if I could speak to an Indigenous Liaison Officer which I'm told is what you're meant to do and he denied me that.

"He denied me speaking to a senior officer, because I didn't feel safe in his presence."

Footage obtained from the officer's body cam shows the woman asking for medical assistance, and the officer becoming aggressive.

The woman uploaded some of the footage to TikTok in November, where it garnered 1.5 million views.

In response to the complaint made by the woman, Senior Sergeant Jacqui Casson of the Moreton District, Queensland Police Service, said the complaint was initially assessed and is undergoing further inquiries due to additional allegations.

"As the CCC has ultimate oversight of any complaints involving police, we must adequately address all allegations before the matter can be appropriately finalised," she said.

The woman has called for the release of all related recordings, including those from TridentSec security guards, Morayfield Shopping Centre, the police beat, and body cam footage of all officers involved.

She said she demands accountability from the Queensland Police Service.

Recent developments have raised serious concerns about systemic racism within the Queensland Police and the alleged behaviour regarding the officer in question.

The National Indigenous Times obtained text messages where the officer is allegedly seen transmitting hateful comments about Indigenous people.

In the messages, the officer is allegedly seen saying, "yes I'm hoping they all get it, and yes I hope it is disastrous," referring to COVID-19, and making a derogatory remark: "Most disgusting race I deal with".

Further comments include "One less sh*t bag coon, should be given a medal."

"Be careful at stocklands for black c***s."

National Indigenous Times understands that the officer has allegedly been re-stationed multiple times throughout Queensland for struggling with anger issues and getting into conflicts with colleagues.

The Queensland Police Service have been contacted for comment.
