Kmart is marking 50 Years of Deadly, NAIDOC Week's milestone 50th anniversary, by distributing the official 2026 National NAIDOC Week poster for free across Kmart and Target stores.

The initiative will reach more than 400 communities across Australia.

As the official National NAIDOC poster distribution partner, Kmart is displaying the 2026 poster created by acclaimed Yankunytjatjara artist and musician Zaachariaha Fielding, whose work captures both the cultural depth and contemporary spirit of this landmark year.

Kmart's commitment to supporting First Nations communities is reflected through its focus on employment pathways and strengthening connections with communities across the country.

A key way this comes to life is through 208 'Deadly Stores', which aim to support employment outcomes, build cultural awareness and strengthen community engagement.

The stores will feature enhanced NAIDOC displays and activations, bringing NAIDOC Week to life across the nation.

Together, these initiatives help Kmart reach and support more than 400 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities nationwide.

Kmart Group chief people and corporate affairs officer Tristram Gray said NAIDOC Week is an important opportunity to celebrate First Nations cultures and the contribution of Kmart's Deadly Store teams.

"The Kmart Group is committed to fostering safe and inclusive environments for our team members and customers," he said.

"The partnership with the National NAIDOC Committee reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting First Nations Peoples through employment and leadership opportunities, and recognising the rich cultures and stories at the heart of NAIDOC Week."

National NAIDOC co-chair Steven Satour said the 50-year milestone and this year's poster capture what NAIDOC stands for.

"Fifty years of NAIDOC Week represents fifty years of visibility, resistance, pride and deadly achievement. Zaachariaha's work feels both deeply cultural and unmistakably contemporary, which is exactly what NAIDOC represents today.

"It honours where we've come from while boldly stepping into the future."

The 2026 National NAIDOC Week poster is available in Kmart and Target stores nationally.
