On the one-year anniversary of his disappearance, the family of Indigenous man Clinton Lockyer, and the WA Police Missing Persons Team, have renewed their appeal for help.

Clinton was 30-years-old at the time of his disappearance. He is now 31 years of age, and his family urge him to make contact.

On Tuesday Mr Lockyer's mother issued a statement.

"Today marks the one-year anniversary of the day my beloved son, Clinton Lockyer, disappeared. It has been a year filled with anguish, sleepless nights, and endless questions," she wrote.

"As a mother, the pain of not knowing the whereabouts and well-being of my son is a burden that's impossible to put into words. The uncertainty has been excruciating, and each day that passes without his return is a day of heartache.

"Clinton, if you can hear my plea, know that my love for you remains unwavering. I want you to be safe and to return to the family who loves you deeply. We all want to know if you are alright, son.

"Please contact the police and let us know. We long for the day when we can hold you in our arms again. I implore you, Clinton, to reach out to the police or the relevant authorities and let them know that you are unharmed.

"Your family's heartache can only be healed by your safe return. On this solemn day, my message is simple: Clinton, your mother loves you, misses you, and wants to know that you are alright. Please, for the sake of our family, make that call."

Over the past 12 months, Missing Persons investigators have conducted thorough investigative actions to try to locate Mr Walker.

The last confirmed sighting of Clinton was at around 11:30 am on 31 October 2022 in Roebourne, wearing a black and red short sleeved t-shirt and tan coloured shorts. He has not been seen or heard from since, and police hold grave concerns for his welfare.

Investigators are now urging the community to contact police if they have any information relevant to this investigation.

Investigating Officer, Snr Constable Paul Ayton, says even the smallest piece of information could make the difference.

"The Missing Person Unit will chase up any potential leads that may direct us to Clinton," he said on Tuesday.

"He is a family man, and his family miss him dearly – we have and continue to work tirelessly to bring the family a resolution."
