Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow and Selwyn Cobbo have combined to put the Maroons in front at the break in Origin I in Adelaide.
Tabui-Fidow crossed over on Queensland's left-edge in the seventh minute to open the scoring.
The reemerged star quickly cashed in on Maroons' coach Billy Slater's decision to bring him back into the Origin fold over veteran Dane Gagai after a blockbuster start to the year with NRL incomers the Dolphins.
Minutes later, 20-year old Selwyn Cobbo finished off a string of passes on the right side to put Queensland up 10-0 to get his second series off to the bang.

The excitement started early in the series opener.
Shortly after smoke from pre-match fireworks cleared, another set threatened to go off deep in Queensland's half after debutante Reece Walsh copped a purposely wayward forearm from returning Blue Josh Addo-Carr after escaping a dangerous fall back to the turf in his first test under the high-ball.
The young Maroon kicked off his Origin career with looking right at home after a handful of decisive defensive efforts.
Walsh swallowed a number of kicks under pressure at fullback and helped deny NSW captain James Tedesco from opening his side's scoring with a crucial tackle metres from the line 20 minutes in.
NSW later hit back through Liam Martin to lessen the margin to 10-6 at half time.
The remainder of Queensland second-rower David Fifita's night looked in doubt after being taken from the ground for a Head Injury Assessment after a copping a knock late in the half.
