Indigenous boxing promoters No Limit's global debut will have to wait following the withdrawal of undisputed super welterweight world champion Jermell Charlo from his January 28 bout with Australian Tim Tszyu in Las Vegas on Christmas morning.

The company, owned by former NRL star George Rose with brothers Matt and Trent, will now wait for a new date after the American suffered a double-break in his left hand during training.

No Limit's swift rise to the top of the sport domestically was poised to take its next step, backing Tszyu to co-promote the blockbuster event UNDISPUTED with overseas broadcasters Premier Boxing Champions.

Charlo revealed he will face two months in a cast before any return to preparations for the fight.

"I was sparring, and I threw this nice punch and as soon as it landed, I knew something was wrong. I felt my hand throbbing right away," he said.

"I had two X-rays and an MRI to see what was wrong.

"I'm as disappointed as the fans, maybe more, because this was my first chance to defend the undisputed title.

"The way I am, I would have beaten Tim Tszyu with one hand, but the doctors and the boxing commission won't allow that."

The 32-year-old unified the WBO, WBC, IBF & WBA titles when we deateated Argentine Brian Castaño in May and sits on a 35-1-1 record ahead of his wait to face the young Aussie.

Tsyzu said he is disappointed to postpone his chance at taking all four belts and joining his father Kosta as an undisputed champion.

"I felt like the stars aligned for undisputed…but we move on," he said.

"I'm ready to take on the next mandatory challenger. I'll be back for Charlo once he is ready and healed."

His father, Kosta, won the first of his world titles in Vegas in 1994.

A new date is yet to be announced.
