Reece Walsh's recent outbreaks of ill-discipline came to a head during a foul-mouthed tirade on Sunday that wore Brisbane's fightback against Gold Coast down.
The offensive four-letter words were caught on the live telecast over the on-field mic of referee Chris Butler moments from the Broncos' eventual 18-12 defeat.
The prized recruit's poor language came after Butler called Walsh for obstruction that appeared to pave Selwyn Cobbo a clear run towards the tryline.
The Wakka Wakka man was brought back, causing the dual Aboriginal/Maori fullback to blow up in the dying minutes of the tight contest.
The penalty caused Walsh to lash out with the expletives "f**k" and "c**t" that Butler punished Brisbane further by marching the defensive line back another 10 metres.
Walsh was referred straight to the NRL judiciary on Monday morning after being charged with contrary conduct towards a match official.
Earlier this year, Canterbury half Josh Reynolds was fined $1000 for saying "bullsh*t" in earshot of referee Grant Atkins.
Amid the tense derby clash in front of 42,249 fans at Suncorp Stadium, Walsh engaged in a running battle with the whistleblower over a number of controversial decisions.
The Queenslander's snappy back-to-back games included trading headbutts with NSW five-eighth Jarome Luai five days earlier in State of Origin's second rubber.
The rival pair were both sent off from the incidents after the 32-6 Maroons' win was sealed, with Walsh also grabbing his state's badge and saluting to the home crowd.
The NRL handed the Maroons No.1 a 23 per cent fine of his match fee for his grade 1 dangerous contact charge from Wednesday night's series sealing 2-0 victory.
But the confident 20-year-old had another target in sight for his club that also erupted in the final stages of the 80 minutes in Brisbane.
Falling to a 16-6 deficit by the 53rd minute, Indigenous playmaker Ezra Mam quickly struck back for the Broncos and crossed over with 19 minutes left on the clock.
The time was ticking down when Cobbo defused a high ball before the winger made a strong dash and nearly broke the Titans line, only to have run behind Walsh's back.
Butler claimed that a steaming Walsh ran into Gold Coast defenders, with even Cobbo conceding the penalty after dribbling the ball away in acceptance.
But Cobbo's irate backline partner disputed the call and remonstrated with Butler that the Titans tacklers had engaged him to exploit the obstruction rule.
"But I stopped," Walsh said, pleadinh his case before the dissenting f-word and c-word were clearly uttered.
"Calm down or you'll go to the bin," Butler said.
Walsh's outburst overshadowed David Fifita's barnstorming outing for the Gold Coast in the upset win following the shock sacking of coach Justin Holbrook days earlier.
The Indigenous prop tormented Brisbane's right-edge defence all day, in addition to scoring one of the Gold Coast's three tries and setting up another four-pointer in the absence of rested captain Tino Fa'asuamaleaui.
Fifita brought the visitors into the game two minutes from the interval while on the back end of a grinding opening half that began without a score in the first 29 minutes.
The combination with the returning Kieran Foran allowed Fifita to latch onto a short ball close to the line to level the scores heading into the change rooms.
