Queensland Police are appealing for public assistance to locate 26-year-old Gavin Tyson, who has been reported missing from Acacia Ridge, Magandjin (Brisbane).

Mr Tyson was last seen on June 22 and has not been in contact with family or friends since.

His disappearance is considered out of character, and concerns are held for his welfare.

He is described as of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander appearance, with a slim build, black hair and brown eyes, and is approximately 188cm tall.

Police urge members of the public who has seen Mr Tyson or have information about his whereabouts to come forward.
