Scott Boland and Brendan Doggett have played a key - and historic - role in Australia's fightback against England in the second test.

The two Indigenous pacemen collected seven wickets between them as Australia skittled England for 164 in their second innings on Saturday in Boorloo/Perth.

England started their second dig 40 runs ahead after rolling Australia for 132 in the morning, Doggett left on seven not out.

At 65 for the loss of just one wicket England looked like running away with the game when Boland erupted, removing Ben Duckett, Ollie Pope and Harry Brook in the space of 10 of his deliveries in a remarkable burst; across the 16th and 18th overs of the innings.

Boland finished with 4/33 and Doggett with 3/51 (alongside his 2/27 in the first innings), with England all out for 164, 204 runs ahead.

Mitchell Starc took 3/55 to give him 10 wickets for the match.

Boland now has 66 test wickets at an elite average of 16.97 for his career.
