D'Arcy Short's scintillating form with the bat has seen the hard-hitting left hander end the Vitality Blast season atop the tournament's top run scorers table.
Short finished the England and Wales domestic T20 tournament - the equivalent to Australia's Big Bash League - with 551 runs at an average of 42.38.
Playing as Gloucestershire's overseas import, Short began the tournament in modest fashion with the bat in his side's middle to lower order.
However a switch to the top of Gloucestershire's batting card, first to number 3 and then as opener, seemingly flicked a switch for the leg-spinning allrounder.
Following the change Short registered five half-centuries and eight 30-plus scores in his next nine innings.
The Mitakoodi man's top score of the tournament came against Middlesex earlier this month, where he struck eight boundaries and five sixes at Bristol's County Ground to see Gloucestershire (5/204) overcome Middlesex (7/195) in a high scoring affair.
He then went on to compile half centuries against Surrey (70 from 53), Middlesex (64 from 46) and Sussex (66 from 45), before ending the season with an unbeaten 71* (52) against Somerset.
Short's outstanding performances came against attacks featuring numerous current and former internationals, including Craig Overton, Ollie Robinson, Chris Jordan, Sam and Tom Curran, and Adam Zampa.
Gloucestershire, however, were unable to replicate Short's individual success as a team, winning just five of their 14 matches to finish seventh in the competition's south group and well out of finals contention.
Surrey, Northamptonshire, Durham, Hampshire, Lancashire, Kent, Somerset and Warwickshire all advanced to the Vitality Blast stage, which is set to be played in early September.
Following the tournament Short has returned to the green and gold to representing Australia in the newly-formed World Championship of Legends alongside the likes of Brett Lee, Peter Siddle and fellow Indigenous allrounder, Dan Christian.
Short delivered two wicketless overs (0/21) in Australia's rain affected opening match of the tournament against England, who had compiled 5/122 before the match was abandoned.
Australia's next match is against the West Indies at Northampton on Wednesday.
