Queensland Government is seeking a senior leader to help drive programs aimed at improving outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities across the state.

Recruitment is underway for an Executive Director, Regional Implementation, within the Department of Women, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships and Multiculturalism.

Part of the Senior Executive Service, the position will help lead an agenda to strengthen programs and deliver improved outcomes across Queensland.

A key focus will be improving education, housing, health and economic outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Statewide service delivery across 16 regional offices will sit within the role's responsibilities, alongside work to strengthen collaboration with government and community partners.

Experience managing large and geographically dispersed operations is being sought, along with a record of achieving strategic outcomes and driving innovation.

Strong communication skills, stakeholder engagement and a deep understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures are listed as essential requirements.
