Roosters utility Connor Watson will remain at the club until at least the end of 2027 after signing a two-year contract extension.
The 28-year-old and Gamilaro man returned to his debut club ahead of the 2022 season after four years at Newcastle, and put pen-to-paper alongside Blues teammate Spencer Leniu this week.
A return to strong form saw Watson make his State of Origin debut in June after missing the entirety of last year's campaign with a devastating knee injury and more than 500 days away from play.
Watson was offered a contract at the end of 2023 despite the season-long stint on the sidelines.
The Central Coast junior made his Origin debut in game II before lifting the shield three weeks later in the Blues' come-from-behind series win.
He's made 16 appearances for the Tricolours in 2024, showing versatility being named at lock, hooker, five-eighth and on the bench across the year.
"Connor is a highly-valued member of this club for both the player and person he is. He is meticulous in his training and prep and will always put the team's needs before his own," Roosters coach Craig Robinson said.
"Above all, Connor is respected as a leading voice within our squad and community, so it's really pleasing that his energy and experience will continue to benefit those around him."
Watson has played 75 of his 141 first grade games for the Roosters, and said he's "happy and proud" to add to his tally.
"This Club means a lot to me, and so do the people in it," Watson said.
"I'm grateful for the opportunity to keep working with such a talented group of players and staff and I'm excited to continue to bring my best every day," he added.
The Roosters currently sit in third spot, three-wins shy of ladder-leaders Melbourne ahead of meetings with the Titans, Raiders and a final home-and-away season grudge match with South Sydney before finals.
Watson will miss Sunday's match on the Gold Coast per concussion protocols after a high-tackle from Eels forward Wiremu Greig ended his night early last Friday.
Grieg was sin binned, and accepted a two-game suspension for the 'careless' hit.
