A devastating display from Worimi quick Brendan Doggett has helped South Australia make a match out of their Sheffield Shield fixture with Tasmania in Adelaide.
Doggett dismantled the Tasmanian top order with 6-40 in his side's comeback, reducing the visitors' top four's contribution to under 10 runs and keeping their total to 101 after the home side were knocked over cheaply on day one.
Scott Boland has also made an impressive return with the red ball after going unused in Australia's two-Test tour of Sri Lanka.
At the Adelaide Oval, South Australian managed just 93 in the opening innings - Jason Sangha (28) Conor McInerney (22) and Nathan McSweeney (20) leading scoring before Doggett led their revival into the contest.
The 30-year-old nicked off current Shield top run scorer Jake Weatherald first ball - caught behind by keeper Harry Neilsen - in the second over of the innings before removing Jordan Silk (0) and Tim Ward (4) in his next over to plummet Tasmania to 3-13.
Remaining opener Nivethan Radhakrishnan couldn't pass single digits after 50 balls and before Doggett sent him back to the pavilion, with Conor McInerney diving to his right at third slip to effect the dismissal in the 16th over.
Border-Gavasker series debutant Beau Webster (28) top-scored for Tasmania, before his side crashed out inside 35 overs.
A 40-run seventh inning stand helped them eclipse South Australia's modest total by eight runs.
The hosts passed 150 in their second dig three wickets down on Wednesday afternoon.
Returning with the red ball for Victoria, Scott Boland took 4-56 in NSW's first innings, later dismissing 19-year-old Boxing Day debutant Sam Kontas twice.
Boland collected Kontas' (10) leg stump when the opener stepped outside off looking to sweep to the on-side at the beginning of the third over.
He removed another pair of NSW's top five - Kurtis Patterson (37) and Josh Philippe (6), both caught behind before no.6 Oliver Davies worked his way to 89 in a 238-run first innings total.
Jack Edwards edged off for the sixth wicket, and Boland's fourth, with his side at 124 runs before reaching 238-all out.
The Vics managed 182 in reply, Boland then ending Kontas for 17 in his second attempt, the teenager slashing to Tom Rogers at point.
NSW reach 2-50 with a 100-run lead on Wednesday afternoon.
Doggett so far has 19 wickets at 23.89 across eight matches in the domestic red ball summer.
South Australia sit on top of the Sheffield Shield table with four wins from seven completed matches.
