Homicide squad detectives are investigating the death of a 32-year-old Indigenous woman at a home in Fitzroy Crossing.
Police responded to reports of a disturbance at the Flynn Drive residence at 11:05pm on Saturday.
Upon arrival, first responders discovered the woman unresponsive inside the home.
Despite emergency treatment by St John Ambulance WA paramedics, the woman was unable to be revived and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A 35-year-old man, known to the woman, remains in police custody and is assisting detectives with their enquiries.
The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death remains ongoing.
