Willie Rioli Jr and Ben Rioli will pull on the same jumper on Saturday when they play a one-off match for Deniliquin Rams in the Murray Football League.
The cousins will line up for the Rams against top-placed Congupna at Hardinge Street Oval, in a match that is expected to draw a large crowd.
Willie arrives with a decorated AFL career behind him.
The 2018 West Coast premiership player played 109 games for the Eagles and Port Adelaide across almost a decade at the highest level.
Ben has also built an impressive career across the NTFL, NEAFL and WAFL.
The skilful half-back is a four-time NTFL premiership player with St Marys and was part of NT Thunder's NEAFL premiership success in 2015.
He also became a WAFL premiership player with South Fremantle in 2020.
For Ben, the chance to play alongside Willie again was a major reason behind the decision.
"How it came about having a kick is that we've got a mutual friend who has a friend at Deniliquin Rams," Ben told National Indigenous Times.
"I think they've tried to get people in the past.
"Somehow they've got the contact for Willie and I, and I think being (Port Adelaide player) Todd Marshall's team, there's a bit of a connection there.

"I've just jumped on board because I haven't had a kick with Willie since 2014, so it's something I am really looking forward to.
"It's been a long time between then and he's obviously gone on to achieve some pretty special things in that time, so I am really looking forward to having a run around with him."
Ben told the National Indigenous Times he was still feeling capable of playing strong football, even though he knows his playing years are closer to the end than the beginning.
"I am actually feeling pretty good, but there's definitely not too many years left," he said.
Rams coach John Fitzpatrick told the Deniliquin Pastoral Times the day would be a good opportunity for both the club's supporters and young players.
"The Rams will be hosting a match day function in the upstairs viewing area from 1PM, where the Riolis will do a pre match Q&A before contributing plenty of experience to the team," Fitzpatrick said.
"These guys will be there to help with our younger blokes, and it should be an amazing weekend.
"They bring a change and something a bit different for our supporters."
The Rams are currently ninth on the Murray Football League ladder with a 3-6 record.
They will face a tough challenge against Congupna, who sit on top of the ladder and are undefeated after nine matches.
