An investigation has been launched after the death of two toddlers in a remote Indigenous community in central Queensland.
On Friday evening police attended a property at Woorabinda, around 150 kilometres south-east of Rockhampton, where a two-year-old boy was found in a parked car.
He was pronounced dead at a local hospital shortly before 8pm.
According to reports, an emergency helicopter was called but not used.
At around 9:15 pm, police attended the address and found a second child, a three-year-old boy, in a parked car before being taken to hospital where he was also pronounced dead.
A crime scene has been declared and detectives are investigating.
It has been reported the relationship, if any, between the two children is unknown at the stage.
