The finalised Forum program for 2026, released Wednesday, includes new sessions such as:

- The business story of savanna fire carbon credits
- Good agreement making for Indigenous carbon projects
- Savanna fire management in the Nature Repair Market
- Using helicopters in savanna fire management
- Tackling the riddle of late season fire. How do we manage country better and reduce late season ignitions?

The 2026 Savanna Fire Forum is held in partnership with Charles Darwin University (CDU) and for the first time, ICIN (Indigenous Carbon Industry Network) will co-locate Australia's leading savanna fire gathering with the 2nd National Indigenous Carbon Forum.
The Savanna Fire Forum is a well-established event that supports Indigenous leadership in savanna fire management, fosters knowledge sharing and promotes best practice.
The National Indigenous Carbon Forum addresses broader carbon methods beyond savanna fire management relevant to Indigenous proponents, highlights Indigenous rights and interests in carbon across Australia, and supports opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to actively manage their Country.
Guest speakers include Barry Hunter, CEO of the North Australian Indigenous Land and Sea Alliance; Kimberley Land Council chief executive Sarah Parriman; Olkola Aboriginal Corporation CEO Debbie Ross; Dr Otto Bulmaniua Campion, director of the Arafura Swamp Ranger Aboriginal Corporation; ICIN co-chair Cissy Gore-Birch OAM; and Rowan Foley, managing director of the Aboriginal Carbon Foundation.
